It's More Than a Tooth

It's Not Just a Tooth, We Get That

Most people don't show up to an extraction casually. They're anxious. They've been putting it off. They're worried about needles, the sound of the procedure, the pain afterward, the cost, the gap, the recovery, the time off work, what insurance will cover, and whether they'll need an implant later.

If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. We see anxious patients every week, and we'll never make you feel like you should be embarrassed about how you feel. The first conversation isn't about the procedure. It's about you, and what kind of experience you need this to be.

The Plan

Three Steps to a Tooth Out and Healing

We've reduced the path to three clear steps, so you know exactly what to expect.

Wisdom teeth removal procedure
  1. 1

    Consultation

We capture a digital X-ray (or a 3D CT scan if your case is complex), show you what's going on, and have a real conversation about your sedation options. No pressure to decide today.

  2. 2

    Gentle extraction

The procedure happens in our Murray office, with the comfort level you chose. We numb thoroughly, work efficiently, and check in throughout.

  3. 3

    Aftercare

You go home with clear written instructions and a follow-up call to make sure healing is on track. If you need a next step (implant, bridge, denture), we plan it together.

Comfort & Sedation

Comfort Options That Match How You Feel

Tell us how you feel about needles, dental procedures, and past experiences. The sedation plan adjusts to fit. Our options range from local anesthetic alone, to nitrous oxide for light relaxation, to IV sedation for deeper relaxation in complex or high-anxiety cases.

If avoiding the dentist is the only reason this tooth has waited this long, the sedation conversation is the first thing we'll have.

What We Handle

What We Handle In-House

We perform most extractions and oral surgery in our Murray office, so you won't be referred to an outside surgeon unless your case requires more advanced medical management.

  • Wisdom teeth

Impacted, partially erupted, or fully erupted.

  • Severely decayed or fractured adult teeth

  • Pre-implant extractions and ridge preservation

  • Bone grafts to support a future implant

  • Frenectomies and minor oral surgery

  • Stubborn baby teeth that won't fall out on their own

What Comes Next

One Office for the Extraction, the Bone Graft, and the Implant

One of the more important decisions after an extraction is what happens to that space. If a tooth gap is left untreated, the surrounding bone slowly resorbs, and a future implant becomes harder and more expensive to place.

We perform ridge preservation and bone grafts at the time of extraction when an implant is in your future. And the same dentist who removed the tooth, Dr. Vaughan, can place the implant later. Fewer offices, fewer paperwork chains, fewer copays.

Recovery

The Week After

Most patients return to work or school in 1 to 2 days. Full healing takes 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the procedure. You'll go home with detailed aftercare instructions, our office number for any questions, and a follow-up call from us to check in.

If anything feels off, tell us. We'd much rather hear from you than have you wonder.

Insurance & Financing

Transparent Pricing, No Surprise Bills

We're in-network with most major dental insurance plans, including United Concordia, Humana, Solstice, Lincoln Financial Group, Renaissance, NovaNet, and Principal. We verify your coverage before scheduling.

If you're uninsured, we offer Care Credit and Cherry financing, plus our in-house Peak Dental Membership Plan that covers preventive care and provides meaningful discounts on treatment. Every cost is explained upfront, before we start.
